Our next meeting will be September 5th, 6-8 pm when Greg Lane from Skeleton Key presents their new product, FMRPC: Let the Server Do the Work. Greg is VP of Application Development for Skeleton Key based out of St. Louis. Greg is certified in FileMaker versions 7 through 12, earned a masters in computer information systems, and has enjoyed solving problems with FileMaker for more than 25 years. Greg is also a frequent speaker at the FileMaker Developer conference. We will also do a recap the FileMaker Developer Conference in San Diego.
FMRPC (FileMaker Remote Procedure Call) allows FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Go offload intensive operations to FileMaker Server, thus dramatically boosting application performance. FMRPC also allows FileMaker Go to use plug-ins and send JDBC commands, thus enabling mobile FileMaker applications to perform functions it never could before. FMRPC is a new product created by the teams at Skeleton Key and 360Works.
